“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
It has really been worthwhile memorizing Romans 15:13 in Seedling so far.
In discussing hope, we have borrowed from the great Puritan Jonathan Edwards definition:
a.) God will turn even the bad things around for your good in the end
b.) Your good things can’t ever be taken away from you
c.) the best things are yet to come
The first dimension we added this past week was joy. The flag of the Christian is joy. You want to know what showcases that the God of hope resides within you. It is joy.
Sharing our joy with the Seedling group has been our pen pals. Our group has started a program with the residents at Victorian Manor here in Hermann. A budding relationship that I believe is worthwhile for both parties.
By the power of the Holy Spirit may we hold onto this hope that we have in Jesus.
